With pen to page I turn to think of you,
For even now you are my every thought.
When long day ends, and night begins I dream
That two hearts, two souls are together brought.
We are cast like two wayward stars that shine
In the midnight tapestry of our lives,
We search we call, we bend we stretch and so
Constellations build and our love arrives.
Silly muse that draws my pen to painting
Remote figures on a barren heaven.
What good are untouchable dreams when you
Are as far from me as conjured vision?
But like a sailor on a troubled
sea
My gaze rises and guides
me to thee.
Waxing Nostalgic is my first compilation of my poetry including some
of my very first poems. I write for situations, moods, intending to capture
the "moment" of the speaker and bring that to the reader.
Some thoughts just can't seem to wait I suppose. So this excerpt from
the Poor Abused Shakespeare collection came from a simple question. Should
I shave my goatee? Or stay bearded. And so from thought to pen to paper.
