I'm originally from NE Ohio, but now I make the Baltimore/DC corridor
my home. Life these days mostly consists of wedding planning, home building
projects and a few adventures. I've settled down a bit from my younger
days. Although my Kendra would say I've a bit more to go. No worries though,
I still drive just as fast as my gardian angle will fly.
I
graduated from The University of Akron
in '97 with a Bachelor's Degree in English. For 2 years my major was Civil
Engineering. But as it was Calculus - or more specifically my inability
to master said - pretty much settled on changing my career goals. I still
look forward to attending a random class from time to time. As far as
I see it, a person's education need not stop at the class room. Life goes
on and the larger tragedy of all would be to become left behind.
I
enjoy a diverse variety of interests and hobbies including weekend power-vacations.
An accomplished outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy hiking and all varieties of
water sports. Rounding out my hobbies includes studies in military science,
current events, and literature. Socially I enjoy concerts from the symphonic
orchestra to rock and dance clubs.
Mature-minded and easy to get along with, friend and acquaintances alike
have been able to describe me as the "plug and play" friend,
since I'm able to fit into just about any environment. Favorite topics
of discussion around e-mail and the dinner table include everything from
who's seeing who now, to which foreign power deserves the sword or the
bank roll. Mostly I favor the sword though. ;-)
On
my many book shelves are a variety of classics and contemporary literature,
but with no clear favorite I have to point toward Shakespeare for the
classics favorite. A film buff, my all time favorite will always be Aliens
with a close second on Saving Private Ryan.
Additional accomplishments include the rank of Eagle Scout, youth awards
for community service, Sears University, scale model aircraft awards,
and special recognition for web site design.
And that's about all one page can hold about me.
