Atlanta, Georgia

I was in Atlanta in '99 for a web developer conferance. I didn't get a chance to interact heavily with the people of Atlanta, but those I did get to meet were quite helpful and friendly.

Atlanta is focused by the Coco Cola plant and by it's airport, the second largest hub in the United States. A well developed downtown is easily accessible by train and foot traffic.

Travel:

Airports - Hartsfield International (ATL)
Train - The rail system is readilly accessible from the airport and a short 20 min ride right to the heart of downtown.
Bus - Never had the opportunity or the need although they are present and seemed readily accessible
Auto - Parking is readily available on the street and on in a few decks. Traffic is light downtown.

Restaurants: Along with the usual chain restaurants, Atlanta has several local faires for comfortable dining with supurb atmosphere.
Sites:

Downtown - Downtown you'll find "The Bucket" the local mall and restaurant district. Although, it isn't really marked as such, it's hard to miss. As soon as your begin walking through the sky ways or to and from the train you'll find your self smack in the middle.
